A lot has happened in the last 8 months. I ran my 1/2 marathon in March, went into a very busy summer/fall, kind of a whirlwind. In October we decided to resign our jobs (my husband and I worked at the same place) and moved to New York. Yes, you read that correctly. From a tiny farm town in East TX to the "city" life in suburbs of Albany. Honestly, I think our hearts have kind of always been in the northeast. I am originally from MA, my husband from Dallas - but we do love it here. During our 8 years in TX, which we also loved, we had always somehow thought that we would end up back in the Northeast. We never really knew what that looked like though. God has a way of working that stuff out, as usual.
So, here we are, freezing our hiney's off - ok, I'M freezing my hiney off because Brandon LOVES the cold weather. I am excited for the kids to experience real snow this year. We didn't get much of that in TX, and when we moved to TX, our youngest daughter Rylie was only 2 - so she doesn't really remember the big snowstorms either.
And let me just talk about the pizza for a minute. Oh how we have missed good pizza. In my opinion, the Northeast has some of the best pizza/subs. I could seriously eat pizza 3 meals a day.
